These terms and conditions apply to membership and services offered. Instructions by a client to commence personal training will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Please read through the below information carefully. You are asked to pay special attention to the conditions related to liability and payments – this does not affect your statutory rights.
Flavia's personal training obligations
I will use my skills and knowledge to design a safe programme of exercise. This programme will take into account the client’s personal goals, fitness levels and likes and dislikes related to exercise.
I will provide the coaching, supervision, advice and support that the client may need to help them achieve their goals.
All client information will be kept strictly private and confidential. If we require further medical information from a practitioner, the client must provide such details.
The Clients' Obligations
It is understood between the client and trainer that both must commit to the programme 100% in order to achieve results.
The client is required to arrive on time for each training session so that a full session can be achieved on each visit.
The client is required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Footwear should be comfortable and provide adequate support.
Personal Training Terms & Conditions
1. Health Screening & signing up
· All clients must complete a PAR-Q before commencing any exercise programme.
· I may require a letter of ‘medical clearance’ from the clients GP. Please be aware that GPs may charge for providing this letter
· I cannot be held liable in any way for undeclared or unknown medical conditions
· In order to sign up, proof of address and photo ID must be provided
2. Payment terms
· All services are paid for on a monthly basis and one month in advance with payments to be made on a specific agreed date
· All payments are non-refundable except when cancelling due to specific situations (see Cancellations)
· If a payment is missed or late without notice, more than once, it is then considered a cancelled membership. The first time a payment is missed or late the client will be asked to resolve it asap
3. Scheduling and carry over of a session
· Clients are given a consistent day and timeslot each week for their program and are encouraged to maintain that slot as much as possible
· As much as we try to prevent it, life can just get in the way of training and I appreciate there may be occasions where it may not be possible to attend a session. Therefore, you are able to carry over one session within a two month period
· When the rescheduled session happens is entirely down to slot availability, but I will do my best to schedule it in to work for us both
4. Holiday entitlement & my unavailability
· We all need some downtime through the year, it’s a critical part of our wellbeing and fitness goals, so there will be times in the year where I will be taking some well-earned rest (hopefully in the sun on a beach!) and will be unable to train clients
· In these situations, I will add on additional membership time to account for my unavailability. This will most likely be added on to the end of your training programme once you give notice of finishing, but if you’re a regular long-standing client then we will agree when to fit the extra sessions in so you don’t miss out
5. Cancellation of membership
· When clients reach their goals and we’re at the end of our journey together, clients can cancel their membership. All I ask is that clients provide me with one months’ notice before the next payment is due so I can plan my client schedule appropriately
· Any unused sessions during the notice period must be used within the billing cycle and cannot be carried over
· Should a client cancel a membership/payment or miss more than one payment without notice, training cannot be resumed for 6 months and any unused sessions will not be maintained and offered to be used, or refunded
· If I am cancelling a membership due to circumstances on my side then a refund for the remaining weeks will be given
